Geof Johns and Greg Weisman began to develop an Aquaman show following the cancellation of YJ and the popularity of Johns' Aquaman run. Casting began March 2013 for the series. Although Miguel Ferrer was initially cast as Aquaman, the character was recast, now voiced by Chris O'Donnell.
